Automated Ads, Booking Features, and Video Editing Tools Now Available for Small Businesses

Good news for small business owners on Facebook: the platform’s just rolled out a handful of helpful and easy-to-use tools to coincide with National Small Business Week, all designed to help make life a bit easier for small business owners.

Automated Ads

Automated Ads is a new tool that’s meant to help take some of the mystery out of the paid advertising process.

Facebook’s tool asks you a few questions about your business and business goals to help develop a customized marketing plan. From there, you’re able to:

  • Create up to 6 different variations on an ad automatically. Facebook will suggest call-to-action buttons and copy based on your business page.
  • Provide recommendations for tailoring your audience, again based on Page info.
  • Set a budget, based on recommendations provided by the Automated Ads tool. You can also set a different budget manually, and Automated Ads will share an estimate about the results you can expect.
  • Track ads easily with prompt notifications and updates. Facebook might suggest swapping an image, offer insights on performance, and will provide a notification when you start generating the results you’re after.

Appointment Management

If your business relies on appointments, you probably get tons of calls through your Facebook page.

Facebook’s new appointment booking feature allows businesses to take and manage appointments through Facebook and Instagram, whether or not they’re running Facebook Ads.

This new system makes it possible to accept appointments online and send reminders to customizers, in addition to syncing appointments with personal calendars or other management tools.

Video Editing Tools

Facebook Ads Manager now features a handy video editing tool to make it easier to get videos up online. It offers automatic cropping, video trimming, and easy-to-use image/text overlay options.

All in all, it looks like Facebook’s got a reliable set of tools for the small businesses of the world. According to the company, there are over 90 million small businesses on Facebook.
